City photography - Almelo

For this school project we were given the assignment to visit a designated city and photograph it all day long, with the aim of presenting the city attractively to a specific target group. My focus was on young people, so I wanted to capture the city with an urban and somewhat dark look.

I approached this by looking at the city through my own eyes and capturing what caught my eye and appealed to me. During this period I was very fascinated by the use of colour grading, so I wanted to incorporate this into my images. I chose a combination of cyan and orange, a colour palette that always appeals to me in photography.
