Album covers

For this school project, we were given the assignment to design two different versions of an album cover for our favorite artist. Each version had to use a new tool within Illustrator that we had not used before.

For the first design (left), I experimented with the 3D tool, and for the second design (right), I explored the Filter Gallery. This project is where my fascination with textures and filters from the Filter Gallery began. I mainly got my inspiration from the older Freddie Dredd album covers, and experimented a lot with the graphic style of these.
